I almost never eat vegan so I never cook vegan. Besides eating salads, I had never experimented with different ingredients. So, this month I’ve embarked on the adventure of trying out new things.
This is a very simple and basic recipe with tofu. You can combine with salad, make tacos or as a side dish.
Ingredients:
260 grams of firm tofu (drained)
1 tbsp sesame seeds
2 tbsp coconut aminos
Coconut oil spray
Procedure:
Cut the tofu in squares. Drain well on a paper towel. You will probably need to drain it for 20-30 minutes before cooking, because it absorbs a lot of water. Change the wet paper towel for a new one in case it is too wet.
Preheat a pan on medium heat and add the coconut spray. Add the tofu and sprinkle the sesame seeds. I used black sesame seeds but you can use whichever you prefer. Add the coconut aminos and do not stir for 5-7 minutes. Check that the tofu is golden and stir. Once it is golden on all sides, it is ready to eat!
